The orange plantation

On 5 hectares of the high plateau there is a large orange plantation with 3,000 beautiful and productive trees. When the oranges are in bloom, a fine citrus aroma wafts over the finca. There are also many other types of fruit such as delicious papayas, sweet bananas and of course platanos (plantains), the finest mangoes, plenty of coconuts, guava and yellow and green limes etc. grow here! In the long term, organic vegetables and herbs will also be grown there and marketed regionally.

Nature

The planting of fruit trees, various types of flowers, special shrubs and year-round flowering plants has enabled toucans and parrots, which were once native to the finca, to reintroduce themselves. Other bird species such as hummingbirds and motmots are already using the new food source!

Of course, you will be greeted by many, many other animals on the finca: Dogs, cats, chickens, geckos, iguanas, coatis, howler monkeys, raccoons, jaguar rundis etc.

The primeval forest

An 80-hectare primeval forest borders directly on the finca. It has been untouched for more than 40 years and has become a rare habitat for flora and fauna. It is to be leased or acquired on a long-term basis with the aim of protecting it against slash-and-burn or poaching.

The meeting place

In recent years, Finca La Pura Vida has developed into a popular meeting place for locals, so-called newcomers and tourists and has become something of a contact exchange for long-term stays, interesting properties, etc.

Many a tourist has settled down in Costa Rica as a result of their experiences there and realized their own lifelong dream.
